**Job Title: 2nd Shift Extrusion Dept Operator** **Job Description** + We are looking for dedicated 2nd Shift Production Operators to join our team. + Candidates will be trained to operate a variety of extrusion equipment, including setting up machines based on production orders, maintaining production quality, obtaining samples for quality control, labeling, and packing of finished products. **Responsibilities** + Check operating controls and safety of equipment prior to operation. + Obtain material for processing from inventory bins and advise the supervisor if damaged, defective, or missing material is found. + Set up machines based on production orders. + Monitor material quality for any defects and adjust machine parameters as needed. + Label and pack finished products as produced on the machine per work order instructions. + Review work orders and drawings to resolve conflicts. + Wear a respirator to perform machine setup. + Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies. + Comply with OHSA safety standards when performing job duties. + Notify the supervisor or manager of any potential safety hazards. **Essential Skills** + 2 years of experience in machine operation. + Experience working with large machines and materials. + High school diploma or equivalent work experience. + General production, packaging, material handling, construction, extrusion, and compounding experience. + Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally. + Good attendance record. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in heavy machine operating, carpentry, or construction. + Fast learner with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. + Teamwork-oriented. + Self-motivated and patient. + Basic power tool and mechanical skills. + Interest in operating machinery. + Basic Microsoft Office skills. **Additional Information:** Extrusion department: + 3 Positions: Schedule - 2B: 3pm-11:30pm , OFF SUN/MON, $22.50/hr. (Trains for 3-4 months on 1A, 7am-3:30pm Off Fri/Sat OR 3A, 11pm-7:30am Off Fri/Sat) + 1 Position: Schedule - 2C: 3pm-11:30pm , OFF WED/THURS, $23/hr. (Trains for 3-4 months on 1A, 7am-3:30pm Off Fri/Sat OR 3A, 11pm-7:30am Off Fri/Sat) + Should be flexible to work Overtime. + Overtime is on a volunteer basis. **Why Work Here?** + This is a contract-to-hire position offering potential for career progression even while on assignment. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
