This position offers the opportunity to work closely with the logistics team and Director of Distribution to help drive the company's 3PL and Freight strategy. Key Responsibilities:
3PL Service Management & Problem Solving: Be the primary point of contact for managing exceptions, reviewing reports, and addressing activity in line with company processes.
Order Fulfillment & Exception Management: Monitor order fulfillment statuses, update the backlog file, and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure timely shipping and order processing.
Shipping, Receiving & Invoicing: Oversee shipping, receiving, and invoicing processes, ensuring timely and accurate updates in company systems. Support the adoption of EDI and automation tools to reduce administrative work.
Inventory Management: Track inventory levels at assigned locations, ensuring accurate stock control and sufficient storage capacity. Proactively raise alerts to avoid disruptions.
Freight Coordination: Purchase and manage freight as needed, ensuring on-time delivery (OTD) and providing timely updates through communication channels and company resources.
EDI Support: Monitor EDI systems, troubleshoot any issues, and work to resolve root causes.
Quality Control: Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations for all products during transportation and handling.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving logistics processes, increasing efficiency, and driving cost savings within the logistics and distribution functions.
Compliance: Maintain adherence to all relevant transportation and distribution regulations, permits, and licenses.
Documentation & Collections: Ensure all shipping documentation is collected and stored in accordance with company policies, and assist with collections and trade leakage management.
Pallet Management: Manage and transfer CHEP/PECO pallets in required portals on a weekly basis.
Ad-Hoc Tasks: Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (preferred) or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience in a similar logistics or supply chain role, with a comfort in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools like PowerBI, Excel, and SAP
Knowledge of financial and accounting principles for budgeting and cost allocation
Solid understanding of inventory management practices and supply chain analysis
Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel (intermediate or higher level)
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
