Job Description
Wangard Partners, Inc. is a real estate development and property management company located in SE Wisconsin. The accounting team is seeking a self-motivated, energetic, and detailed individual to fill the role of accounting intern. This position will work primarily with the accounting team, as well as with other departments. This position will provide hands-on experience reconciling bank accounts, balancing books, accounts receivable management, other accounting responsibilities, and additional projects. This internship duration is during the Fall Semester (12 weeks), with the potential of continuing through the Spring Semester.
Primary Duties: - Complete daily cash reconciliation
- Preparing monthly account reconciliation workbooks
- Compile invoices and support for accounts receivable management
- Preparing and loading in transactions for various processes across the portfolio
- Assist with other special projects within the scope of the accounting team
Minimum Required Experience/Education: - Candidate with high degree of integrity, communication skills, and work ethic
- Student seeking degree in Accounting
- Ability to simultaneously understand details and their relationship to the “big picture”
- Comfortable with MS Windows and MS Office – Candidate can expect a lot of Excel work

Physical Demands Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The employee will be regularly required to sit; stand; walk; reach using feet, legs, back, arms and hands; talk and hear. The employee may occasionally be required to climb. The employee will be required to work at a personal computer and talk on the phone for extended periods of time. Must possess the ability to detect auditory and/or visual alarms and be available to work extended/flexible hours and weekends, as needed.
Attendance/Travel This position is a part time hourly position. This position requires the availability to work some nights, weekends, and occasional holidays. This position also requires regular attendance and active participation/planning at all company functions and events.
