As a Case Manager, you'll make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients every day. **A Typical Day**
Your typical day will include managing patient cases from initiation to closure, including benefit investigations, prior authorizations, denial appeals, and determining financial qualifications for assistance programs. You'll assist patients and other stakeholders through resolution via email, inbound/outbound calls, and using our patented technology. This role requires critical thinking, problem-solving, and a high level of ownership and attention to detail.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Relationship Management**: Build trusted relationships with patients, prescribers, and stakeholders through proactive communication and adherence to healthcare laws.
- **Communications**: Perform program welcome calls, post-benefit investigation calls, and manage client and HCP inquiries.
- **Inbound Call Management**: Manage inbound calls according to program-approved FAQs and triage patients to appropriate resources.
- **Personalized Case Management**: Provide personalized case management, including outbound communication to HCPs and patients, leveraging electronic tools to identify benefits and payer coverage.
- **Documentation**: Document all activities within our system in accordance with business requirements.

**Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in arts and sciences, social work, public health administration, or a related field.
- Customer service and healthcare industry experience preferred.
- Ability to work an 8.5-hour shift between 8 am to 8 pm, Monday to Friday.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish or Chinese/Mandarin is a plus.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and minimal travel as needed.
- Strongly encouraged to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

- Regularly required to talk, hear, use hands to type, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to type 35 WPM with 97% accuracy.
**Work Schedule & Environment**
- Full-time or part-time position, with shifts between 8 am to 8 pm.
- Professional office environment using standard office equipment.
- Minimum commitment of 6 months to 1 year, especially within a client-facing role, prior to being considered for lateral or promotion.
