Enterprise cybersecurity is broken. Current annual cybersecurity spending is roughly $150B, with most enterprises spending heavily to deploy, manage, and configure 100s of different tools for marginal security benefit. At Zip, our goal is to build software that makes enterprise cybersecurity reasonable – to reduce bloat by bundling and configuring opinionated security tooling, synchronizing everything from device management to application security under one central pane of glass.
Multiple companies with security offerings from Google to Jamf are now releasing APIs that allow automated management, and with new government efforts to publish data on the global security risk landscape, there’s a unique opportunity to be the first in the market to properly integrate and build a full-stack, opinionated, enterprise security company. At Zip, you’ll be at the cutting edge of security, working with some of the world’s most important companies to effortlessly secure their people, software, and data.
We want our employees learn, grow, and have career satisfaction
We are a high autonomy, high trust organization that prioritizes thoughtful communication
We value transparency, equity, and empathy.
We want to move fast, be flexible, but not break things:
We value balance
We assume best intentions
We’re looking for a Chief of Staff to help scale Zip through its next phase of growth. This is a high-impact, jack-of-all-trades role for someone who can find structure within ambiguity, loves solving operational challenges, and wants to help shape the foundation of an rapidly growing company.
You’ll be the connective tissue across teams, helping drive execution and building scalable processes. This role is ideal for someone who is both strategic and scrappy, who is equally comfortable in the weeds and at 30,000 feet. We’re looking for someone who has worked in a technical organization before and can work with engineers.
Your day-to-day might involve projects like:
Leading retros and improving how we do our quarterly and product planning
Working our C-suite with company plans and budgeting
Helping us standardize hiring and onboarding across the company
Liaising with third parties like accountants, auditors, and the board
Overall, we’re looking for individuals with high-ownership, autonomy, and willingness to learn.
Preferred requirements are flexible, but are loosely:
2+ years in a technical operations, product, or project management role.
Experience working in a technical organization.
Ability to think at the systems level, identifying broken processes and reasoning about time tradeoffs.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to hold context across multiple workstreams.
Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Technical literacy and ability to converse about technical concepts.
Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and demands.
