Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Cinematography/Filmmaking Instructor to join our team! In this role, you will inspire and teach middle and high school students the art of visual storytelling and film production. You'll guide students through exciting projects, including short films, documentaries, music videos, and commercials, helping them develop their skills in every step of the filmmaking process.

Class Details:
Class Size: Classes typically range from 3 to 15 students, with an assistant provided for larger groups to ensure personalized attention.
Physical Requirements: You'll need to be able to:
Lift up to 35 lbs.
Set up and operate camera equipment, lighting rigs, and other filmmaking gear.
Sit and stand for extended periods during lessons and filming sessions.
Set up and break down portable film production equipment as part of your role.

Compensation: $25 per hour
What We're Looking For:
Experience: A minimum of 4 years of professional cinematography/filmmaking experience is required.
Language Skills: Bilingual abilities are not required but are a plus.
Portfolio Requirements: We ask that you submit a showreel or portfolio that includes:
Cinematography work
Short films
Commercials
Other relevant projects
Skills & Software Knowledge:
Strong proficiency in cinematography, lighting, and composition techniques.
Expertise in camera operation.
Familiarity with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
Preferred:
Experience with visual effects.
Color grading and sound design skills.
Equipment:
You must own a laptop (Windows or Mac) capable of running video editing software.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Cinematography Skills: You have advanced knowledge of camera equipment and cinematography techniques.
Diverse Film Experience: You have demonstrated experience in a wide range of film genres and styles.
Film Theory & Storytelling: You have a deep understanding of film theory, visual storytelling, and shot composition.
Full Production Knowledge: You are familiar with all aspects of filmmaking, from pre-production to post-production.
Organized & Reliable: You are highly organized, detail-oriented, punctual, and dependable.
Teaching Experience: While not required, experience working with young people or teaching is a plus.
Positive Attitude: You bring an enthusiastic, "can do!" attitude to every project and inspire others with your proactive approach.
