Job Summary – About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and versatile communicator to join our Global Communications team as a Full-time Co-Op . This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about communications and eager to gain hands-on experience across various functions within our department. Example areas you will support as a Communications Co-Op include editorial, strategy, content creation, media relations and employee communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development: Assist in developing communication strategies to promote and protect our brand reputation.  
  • Editorial: Write engaging and informative stories for our website and blogs.  
  • Content Creation: Draft copy for social media, newsletters, and other communication channels.  
  • Media Relations: Support media relations efforts, including drafting press releases and pitches.  
  • Employee Communications: Assist with internal communication efforts, such as employee newsletters and intranet updates.  

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates excellent writing and editing skills , with a keen eye for detail .  
  • Ability to tailor written communications for different audiences and channels.  
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms
  • Analytical thinking , research and problem-solving skills.  
  • Strong project management , organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively.  
  • Demonstrates professional maturity and confidence in executive-facing interactions.  
  • Adaptable and willing to take on challenging projects , propose new solutions and be proactive in seeking clarity .   
  • Media relations experience - Preferred
  • Graphic design skills and/or Adobe Creative Suite experience - Preferred
  • AP Style knowledge - Preferred
  • Familiarity with measurement and analytics tools - Preferred

Requirements

  • Must be a student currently enrolled in a degreed college/university program, or graduated from a degreed college/university program within the last 24 months - Grad Student, Graduating Senior or Recent Graduate Preferred
  • Candidates should have a Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field. 
  • Must be able to fill role full-time for 6 months .  
  • Must be based in Atlanta, GA , or willing to relocate.  
  • This role is on-site , and expected to report in person
