Scope of Position:

We are looking for a Senior Project Engineering professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise. Develop small to mid-size product plans and budgets, perform critical analysis, pursue all cost saving opportunities to maximize project profitability, and monitor project performance. Identifies and reacts to project problems and recommends solutions

Essential Job Functions:

  • Advanced knowledge with BAS systems, Carrier i-Vu knowledge is a plus.
  • Requires an individual with an advanced skillset in BAS / controls programming.
  • Programming of controls systems and implementing developed Sequence of Operations.
  • Complete each assigned project focusing on customer satisfaction and specification compliance while maintaining budgetary guidelines.
  • Partner with sales function to set parameters for equipment needs and project timeline.
  • Create submittals, read and understand project specifications and MEP drawing sets, controls and shop drawings.
  • Document and track project completion with as-builts and final program notation with all field changes in collaboration with our Project Manager.
  • Assemble Operation & Maintenance Manuals for completed projects.
  • Utilize company and as required customer standard programs for designing graphic function blocks for assigned projects.
  • Test project programs to ensure specified sequences of operation are met and performed accordingly to industry standards.
  • Inspect HVAC system including point-to-point, determining the proper operating ranges for field devices, as well as complete functional system checkouts.
  • Conduct graphics engineering functions which include creating equipment and floor plan graphics per project documents.
  • Submit material orders for project-required required materials to the purchasing group.
  • Job requires some fieldwork with controllers and associated components alongside our Controls Field Engineers.
  • Assist in the development of functional checkpoints lists for commissioning and additional documentation requirements to.


Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of Building Automation and Controls Experience.
  • 1+ years of experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid and current Driver’s License and can be insurable by the company’s insurance.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized college or university in building HVAC with a focus on building automation controls (3- or 4-year program).
  • Strong problem solving, planning and project management skills.
  • Ability to read and understand scope of work.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Field experience and an understanding of the installation and operation of Automated Logic Controls and ability to understand/navigate third party control systems and integrations.
  • Some experience with Automated Logic and Phoenix software to include: WebCtrl, SiteBuilder, ViewBuilder, LogicBuilder, InterOp 3.02, Alert, Draw, EDB, Eikon, Supervision, and Accel Works.
  • Prior experience in Construction, HVAC and/or Building Automation preferred.
  • Experience in dealing with a number of simultaneous challenges, requiring knowledge of many different disciplines.
  • A true team player who has the customer’s best interests first and foremost.
