Job Description

Job Summary: The Cook at Beckley Hotel, is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for hotel guests. This is a full-time, individual contributor role, located in Beckley, West Virginia. The successful candidate will have a passion for cooking, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time, salaried position with a competitive compensation package. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food to standards
  • Clean the kitchen area
  • Create and modify menus in accordance with guest preferences, dietary restrictions, and seasonal availability
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards guests and colleagues at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, including but not limited to grilling, sautéing, baking, and broiling
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, including kitchen equipment and food supplies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
