We are looking for passionate and experienced Cosmetology Instructors to join our dynamic team! As a Cosmetology Instructor, you will have the unique opportunity to guide and inspire students as they embark on their journey to becoming professionals in the beauty industry. You will play a key role in delivering both theoretical and hands-on education, ensuring students develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their careers. Your encouragement and expertise will help students realize their full potential as they master the art of cosmetology.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach the foundational and advanced aspects of cosmetology, including hair styling, cutting, coloring, makeup application, skincare, nail care, and more.
Create and deliver engaging lesson plans that follow industry standards and align with the curriculum.
Demonstrate and provide hands-on instruction in both classroom and salon settings, ensuring students are well-prepared for real-world scenarios.
Provide individualized support to students, catering to their unique learning styles and challenges.
Evaluate student performance through practical exams, assignments, and other assessment methods.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and overall progress.
Keep up to date with the latest trends, techniques, and industry regulations to ensure the curriculum remains current and relevant.
Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that fosters student success and personal growth.
Work collaboratively with other instructors and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
Participate in professional development opportunities to continue growing and refining your teaching skills.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the cosmetology industry.
A valid cosmetology license in the state of employment.
A current Instructor license.
Expertise in hair, makeup, skincare, and nail care.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, colleagues, and industry professionals.
A passion for teaching and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
Knowledge of the latest industry trends, techniques, and best practices.
Patience and empathy, with the ability to connect with a diverse student population.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing curriculum needs and industry standards.
Previous teaching experience is a plus, though not required.
Basic computer skills are necessary.
Work Hours:
Day and evening shifts are available, with a partial work-from-home/remote option.
