About the Role

As a Developer Community Content Marketer, you'll be the voice of our brand across social media, owned media, and developer communities. You'll craft compelling content, engage with users, and collaborate with customers, partners, and influencers to strengthen our presence in the developer ecosystem. This role is perfect for a creative storyteller who understands developer culture and enjoys building relationships within technical communities.

What You'll Do

Social Media Content Creation: Develop and execute content strategies across social platforms, including posts, carousels, videos, and interactive threads that resonate with developers.
Developer Community Engagement: Actively participate in developer forums (e.g., GitHub Discussions, Reddit, Stack Overflow), fostering discussions, sharing valuable insights, and building relationships.
Interactive Campaigns: Plan and manage campaigns such as AMAs, contests, live streams, and challenges to drive engagement and advocacy.
Real-Time Trends: Stay ahead of social and community trends, identifying opportunities to contribute to conversations and share relevant insights.
Content Distribution: Amplify blog posts, product updates, and multimedia content across various channels to maximize reach and engagement.
Influencer & Ambassador Collaboration: Partner with developer influencers and brand ambassadors to co-create and promote authentic, community-driven content.
Community Growth: Develop and execute strategies to grow and retain online communities, fostering active participation and feedback.
Analytics & Insights: Track engagement metrics, report on performance, and identify opportunities to improve reach and impact.
Thought Leadership: Conduct interviews and create content that positions internal subject matter experts as thought leaders in the developer experience space.
Campaign Support: Collaborate with marketing and design teams to integrate multimedia assets into larger campaigns that drive business growth.

What You'll Bring

Experience: 3+ years in multimedia content creation, video production, or content marketing, preferably in B2B SaaS or tech.
Social Media Expertise: Deep understanding of platforms like YouTube, Reddit, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky, Stack Overflow, Twitch, Slack, Discord, Hacker News, and GitHub.
Developer Savvy: Familiarity with Git, GitHub, or other developer tools, along with a strong grasp of developer culture and humor.
Modern MarTech Stack: Experience with tools such as HubSpot, WordPress, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Canva, CapCut, and Figma.
Video Production Skills: Proficiency in video editing tools like Camtasia, Adobe Premiere, Descript, CapCut, Opus AI, and Runway ML.
AI Enthusiasm: Excitement for using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Midjourney, Firefly) to enhance content creation and workflow efficiency.
Community Building: Proven track record of growing and engaging developer communities on platforms like Discord, Reddit, or GitHub.
Collaboration & Communication: Strong ability to work with influencers, ambassadors, and internal teams to align content with broader marketing goals.
Quick Adaptation: Ability to react quickly to trends, news, and developer discussions with relevant, valuable content.
Analytical Mindset: Data-driven approach to optimizing social and community initiatives based on performance insights.
Creativity & Humor: A flair for storytelling with a fun, witty voice that resonates with technical audiences.
