Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities: Quality vs. quantity – typically see 14 to 16 patients per day (30 min per visit) Instead of RVU or volume metrics, our providers are measured and rewarded on quality of care Solid clinical support team that includes RNs, LVNs, MAs, nurse educators, case managers, clinic administrators, referral managers, coders, centralized scheduling, nurse advice line, and robust IT Collaborate with our primary care physicians (IM & FM), hospitalists, and network of employed/contracted sub-specialists Compensation/Benefits Highlights: ~ Base salary plus annual quality bonus ~ Comprehensive benefits from Optum Partner Services, including medical, dental and vision ~401k with match, UHG Employee Stock Purchase Program ~ Liability coverage with tail What makes an OptumCare organization different? Required Qualifications: Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Current Licensure through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners OR Licensed Physician Assistant by the Texas State Medical Board or the ability to obtain prior to employment Valid DEA license or the ability to obtain one prior to employment Ability to be comfortable managing a primarily Medicare-aged patient population Driver’s License, access to reliable transportation and current automobile insurance Preferred Qualifications: ~1+ years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant ~ Proven working understanding and support of a managed care environment ~ Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $104,500 - $156,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role.
