DESCRIPTION

We're looking for a passionate and skilled communicator to join our team leading technical storytelling for employees. This role is at the heart of our efforts to inform, inspire, and engage our internal technical audience. You'll be responsible for crafting compelling narratives about AWS technology and service news, best practices, and innovative internal use cases. As an internal reporter, you'll need to understand complex technical details and translate them into content that resonates with Amazon builders.
In this position, you'll work closely with various internal stakeholders, including AWS Technology PR and the Amazon Software Builder Experience team, to ensure coordinated and impactful communication to employees. This role requires excellent writing skills, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to work quickly and adapt in a large-scale, complex business environment.
Your primary focus will be on creating and maintaining an editorial content calendar, sourcing and drafting original content with a particular emphasis on GenAI use case storytelling. You'll interview employees across Amazon who are creating internal tools using AWS technology and categorize these stories to highlight trends and best practices. Additionally, you'll stay updated on upcoming service announcements, manage content campaigns aligned with priority narratives, and assist with event coverage and newsletter creation.

Key job responsibilities

* Collaborate with various teams to identify and amplify relevant AWS service announcements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in B2B communications
