Title: Logistics Transportation Manager
Duration: Full-time Permanent
Location: Hybrid in Boston 3x onsite per week (Seaport)
The role is responsible for the seamless and efficient flow of product from our global vendors to the US destinations (warehouse or other location). This person will manage relationships with various service providers and oversee both inbound freight as well as outbound service requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage vendor bookings/delays/exceptions (handover from factory to 4PL and carrier)
Daily monitoring of all import activities, track shipments, and resolve any delays or issues
Manage the 4PL data flows into Infor Nexus to SAP
Provides PO visibility to the business (Infor Nexus, Starlink, etc.) while communicating any concerns/delays.
Create/provide inbound forecasts measured against contracted volumes to Ocean Freight providers monthly.
Manage/track the usage on contract and spot rates depending on opportunities and cost
Provides monthly freight cost reports and analysis to accounting
Vendor management – monitor the timing and documentation accuracy of our vendor community
Approve the daily Ocean Freight bills and send to accounting for payment
Manage customs clearance and duty/tax calculations to ensure correct payments to customs
authorities
Provides transit lead time updates to business for estimation of future ETAs by origin
Direct Ship Routing to Customer door/port
Drive full container utilization and other transportation efficiencies
Manage outbound freight contracts/payments and vendor negotiations

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Leadership skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to learning new systems quickly
Reporting capabilities, Strong Excel knowledge, Infor Nexus
Systems knowledge – SAP, Infor Nexus, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Proficiency in import documentation, commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading
Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping carriers.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
5-7+ years of supply chain/transportation related experience
BS with preferred focus on operations or supply chain
