Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager I/II, the Materials & Stores Supervisor II (M&SSII) duties include a variety of warehousing, purchasing, stocking, and distributing of clothing and maintenance supplies through-out the institution. The M&SSII also performs and follows written procurement procedures; evaluate situations accurately and take effective action; operate electrical, motorized and manual material handling equipment.  The M&SSII is responsible for inputting receipts and issues into the BIS; prepare, review and type various reports and handle calls and problems with vendors and institutional staff as it applies to the clothing and maintenance operation.  Consistently exercise a high degree of initiative, independence and originality in performing tasks.

Working Conditions

This is a Correctional Institution open 24 hours/7days a week, all positions will be office centered.

This is a correctional facility; you will come in contact with incarcerate persons.

Candidates new to CDCR are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
