Role :PL/SQL Developer

Location: Fountain Valley, CA

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PL/SQL Developer to join our growing team in Fountain Valley, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing robust and efficient PL/SQL solutions for our critical business applications. This role requires a strong understanding of relational database concepts, data modeling, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and implement high-quality PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Optimize existing PL/SQL code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Work closely with business analysts, data architects, and other developers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain data migration scripts and ETL processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for all developed solutions.
• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure thorough testing and quality assurance of developed applications.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle database technologies and PL/SQL development trends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).1
• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a PL/SQL Developer with Oracle databases (12c, 19c preferred).
• Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, views, and DDL/DML statements.
• Extensive experience with performance tuning and optimization of PL/SQL code and SQL queries.
• Solid understanding of relational database design, data modeling, and normalization.
• Experience with ETL processes and tools.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced2 environment.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience with other database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with Oracle APEX or other Oracle development tools.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
