Position Overview: As a Food Preparation Specialist, you'll be the behind-the-scenes hero of the CoffeeCo kitchen, assisting with food preparation and ensuring that every ingredient is prepped to perfection before it hits the plate. From chopping vegetables to marinating meats and everything in between, you'll play a vital role in laying the foundation for culinary excellence, setting the stage for a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients according to recipes and culinary standards.
  • Prepare mise en place for daily service, ensuring that all ingredients and supplies are organized, labeled, and readily accessible for the culinary team.
  • Support the culinary team in executing menu offerings with precision and efficiency, contributing to the success of service by completing prep tasks in a timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the prep area, including proper storage of ingredients, sanitation of work surfaces, and adherence to food safety protocols.
  • Learn and adhere to CoffeeCo's recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards, striving to consistently deliver exceptional culinary experiences to our guests.
  • Take initiative to assist with other kitchen tasks and projects as needed, demonstrating a willingness to learn and contribute to the overall success of the culinary team.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred but not required – we're looking for passionate individuals willing to learn and grow!
  • A passion for food and a desire to pursue a career in the culinary arts.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
  • Ability to work efficiently and multitask in a fast-paced environment, taking direction from culinary team members with a positive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, afternoons, weekends (Saturday AND Sunday), and holidays as needed.
