Job Description



We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Aide to join our healthcare team in Portland. In this role, you will support licensed physical therapists in delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining a smooth-running therapy environment.

  • Assist physical therapists with patient treatment sessions and therapeutic exercises
  • Transport patients to and from treatment areas safely
  • Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization
  • Sanitize and set up therapy equipment before and after patient use
  • Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records
  • Handle basic administrative tasks including answering phones and filing
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of therapy supplies
  • Assist with patient documentation in electronic health records
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control procedures

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications
  • Basic understanding of physical therapy procedures and medical terminology
  • Proficiency in patient transfer techniques and safety protocols
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements
  • Experience with electronic health records systems preferred
  • Basic understanding of anatomy and physiology
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Physical ability to assist patients and handle therapy equipment
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred but not required

Compensation: $16.00 - $17.00 hourly
