Job Description

Unitex is currently seeking a Plant Manager to oversee the production team in our industrial plant located in Mount Vernon, NY (just over the Bronx border with accessible transit lines).

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 5:30AM start - end time is when the jobs are completed

MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK ADDITIONAL HOURS WHEN NEEDED.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain individual and department performance at established standards
• Directly manage two Assistant Plant Managers, up to five (5) Production Supervisors and all plant employees
• Ensure production levels and productivity goals are achieved
• Maintain daily reports
• Hire, Train and discipline employees as a means for achieving goals
• Oversees high level of quality of product being sent to customers
• Ensure that Unitex policies and procedures are implemented and followed

Required Skills:

• 5+ years managerial experience running a plant in a production/service environment
• Conversant in English and Spanish preferred
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic work setting
• High degree of customer responsiveness
• Understands production workflow / MS Office
• Proven ability to manage to standards

Position reports to the General Manager
