Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.
The Clinical Nurse II, under the supervision of the Practice Manager and Medical Director, guided by the policies and procedures of the Ambulatory Services and the Ambulatory Services Quality Nursing Division, and in collaboration with the physician staff, has the clinical responsibility for developing and maintaining a high standard of patient care for patients evaluated and followed within the Endocrinology & Metabolism Practice. They are responsible for maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff, and for daily operations. The Clinical Nurse II utilizes the nursing process for patient care assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic clinical care. All components of nursing care will be individualized to meet the patient's physiological and psychosocial developmental level and needs. They consistently project a professional and courteous demeanor. They will assist with the management of patient care administered by the UCSF physicians and other members of the clinical and nursing team (including potential MA supervision as needed). The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $84.78 - $109.85 (Hourly Rate).
