Job Description

Are you looking for an opportunity to work in the laboratory and environmental field, with a flexible schedule that allows time to ski/snowboard/hike/bike/fish/camp in the mountains? The right candidate for our Login Department will possess a strong work ethic, positive attitude, attention to detail, and a desire to learn new things. Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred but not required.

ACZ Laboratories, Inc. () is an environmental testing laboratory located in the beautiful mountain town of Steamboat Springs, CO. We are currently looking for a Login Technician to join our team in our shipping and receiving department. Tasks will include logging in environmental samples, shipping orders, maintaining and updating documentation in our LIMS system, department and lab wide communication of business level and prioritization of tasks. Operating hours are between 8 and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday however there is flexibility available for fully trained employees. ACZ has a temporary lease for an apartment in Steamboat Springs to assist with relocation. We also offer a 0% loan for ski passes.

Expectations and Responsibilities include:

  • Learn, embrace, and adhere to ACZ's mission, core values, and quality system
  • Take sample observations as they are received in the laboratory
  • Organize samples for analysis in the lab
  • Assemble sample kits for analytical testing
  • Accurately enter information into our Laboratory Information Management System
  • Maintain lab cleanliness, organization, and safety standards
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the team
  • Report discrepancies or issues

Qualifications:

  • Science degree preferred 
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with a team toward a common goal
  • Ability to learn to safely handle chemicals
  • Experience working with computers
  • Ability to work on you feet and lift items up to 50 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21 per hour
