We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our team and help students excel in their academic journey. What You'll Do:
Teach Science to Students in Grades 1-12:
You'll work with students from elementary through high school, teaching subjects such as biology, chemistry, and physics. The ability to teach concepts at both the middle school and high school levels is essential.
Assess Students' Needs:
Use your skills to quickly evaluate each student's level and tailor lessons to fit their individual learning styles and needs.
Test Preparation & Homework Assistance:
Help students prepare for tests and quizzes, and assist with homework assignments to reinforce the material taught in their classrooms.
Motivate & Encourage:
Keep students on task, inspire them to engage in their studies, and create a positive learning environment.
Create and Follow Lesson Plans:
Design lessons that support students' progress, whether following a provided plan or creating one based on their needs.
Collaborate:
Work closely with students, families, and colleagues to ensure the best possible educational outcomes.
Travel to Meet Students:
Be flexible and willing to meet students at mutually agreed-upon locations within a reasonable distance from your home, when necessary.
Utilize Online Tools:
When virtual instruction is required, you'll make use of online resources and platforms to provide high-quality lessons.
Job Requirements:
Certification:
A New Jersey Standard Teaching Certification or New Jersey Special Education Certification is required.
Teaching Experience:
Previous tutoring experience is a plus, but not required. We value your passion for teaching and your dedication to student success.
Flexibility:
Be willing to adapt to both in-person and online tutoring, based on student needs.
