Job Description

Job Summary: The Shuttle Driver/Bell Person at Rapid City Best Western Ramkota Hotel is responsible for providing transportation services for hotel guests as well as assisting with luggage handling and providing exceptional customer service. This full-time position will be in the Hospitality/Restaurant department and will require an individual who is reliable, friendly, and detail-oriented. Compensation & Benefits: The compensation for this position ranges from $15 to $18 per hour and is paid biweekly. In addition, employees will receive a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and discounted rates at Best Western hotels. Responsibilities:

• Operate the shuttle van to transport guests to and from the airport, local attractions, and other designated locations.
• Greet guests with a warm and friendly attitude and assist with their luggage
• Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the shuttle vehicle
• Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, giving recommendations, and making the guests feel welcomed
• Keep accurate records of shuttle schedules, guest pick-up and drop-off times, as well as any other necessary information
• Maintain knowledge of local attractions, dining options, and events to provide helpful information to guests
• Assist guests with check-in/check-out process when needed
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving the shuttle

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of the local area and attractions
• Must pass a background check and drug test
