Job Description

DESCRIPTION

AI can "Do Anything Now", and with great power comes great responsibility. Alexa Security team provides security engineering support for next-gen product builders, and uses both AI and traditional methods to accomplish that mission.

Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Security Engineer, you will influence across organizations and drive secure solutions within Alexa and other AI products. You will work with developers, scientists, and product leaders to deliver magical experiences to customers, while maintaining customer trust.

You identify key areas of impact, and drive security improvements across a large organization. You evaluate and prioritize risk effectively, and communicate your work to product leaders at all levels.

Invent and improve security controls for internal and external products; including Alexa. You leverage traditional security approaches, and utilize newer AI approaches when appropriate.

You are self driven, and identify both problems and solutions independently.

You mentor junior engineers to deliver security outcomes. You devise training, runbooks, policy, and other artifacts. You review security artifacts and help guide improvements.

You are skilled at identification of vulnerabilities through code review or pentesting. You may create proof-of-concepts for vulnerabilities or new defenses.

A day in the life
We're largely a traditional security team, with some additional AI specific activities.

The product teams are our primary stakeholders. You often will consult on projects. You identify potential risks and mitigations. If an appropriate solution doesn't exist, you propose a new one. You drive long-term security outcomes. You learn details of AI systems, and design solutions that mitigate pitfalls.

You advocate for the end-customer, so we can launch quality products built with security from the ground up.

You incorporate AI tools into your workflows to increase efficiency without sacrificing quality.

About the team

In Amazon Security, it’s in our nature to learn and be curious. Addressing the toughest security challenges requires that we seek out and celebrate a diversity of ideas, perspectives, and voices.

You’ll find endless knowledge-sharing, training, and other career-advancing resources here to help you develop into a better-rounded professional.
