Job Description
As a Nail Technology Instructor, you'll be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality lessons and hands-on training to students. You'll guide them through every aspect of nail care, from manicure techniques to industry standards, ensuring they are well-prepared for success in their careers. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and staying current with trends in the beauty industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Teach: Create and deliver dynamic lesson plans that align with curriculum goals, covering topics like nail care, nail art, sanitation, and safety practices.
Hands-On Training: Provide students with practical experience through demonstrations and supervised practice sessions.
Foster Learning: Cultivate an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation, growth, and engagement.
Evaluate Progress: Assess student skills through projects, exams, and feedback to help them continuously improve.
Mentor: Be a source of inspiration and guidance, supporting students as they progress in their education and future careers.
Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest nail care trends and techniques to ensure your lessons are relevant and cutting-edge.
Collaborate: Work with other instructors to enhance the program and contribute to continuous improvements.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
A valid Manicurist or Cosmetology license in good standing.
Current Instructor license required.
At least 3 years of professional experience as a manicurist.
Prior teaching or training experience (preferably in cosmetology) is highly desirable.
Solid understanding of nail care techniques, industry standards, and trends.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex techniques in an accessible way.
A passion for teaching, mentoring, and supporting students' growth.
Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in using instructional technology and multimedia resources.
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Availability:
This position offers flexibility with day and evening schedules, including partial work-from-home/remote opportunities.
