Summary

Saint John Preschool is seeking a warm, dedicated, and experienced  Head Preschool Teacher to join our team. Duties

• Creating a safe, caring, and engaging classroom environment that supports the social, emotional, spiritual, cognitive, and physical growth of each child.
• Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum aligned with the preschool’s mission and philosophy.
• Leading classroom management with positivity, consistency, and respect for all children.
• Building strong partnerships with families through regular communication and collaboration.
• Supervising and mentoring assistant teachers and classroom aides to ensure a cohesive, supportive learning environment.
• Maintaining compliance with state licensing regulations and preschool policies.

Requirements

• CDA or Degree in ECE or similar field
• Minimum 2–3 years of classroom experience; leadership or supervisory experience a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Commitment to fostering a faith-based, inclusive, and community-centered learning environment.
