Salary Range : $59,700 - $89,500 Annual

The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible.

CNO Financial Group is hiring a Financial Analyst to provide support for expense management, analysis, and reporting. They will prepare various deliverables for both internal and external financial reporting needs, including but not limited to GAAP and Statutory reporting and monthly expense analysis.

This is your opportunity to identify process improvement opportunities for existing processes, maintain documentation, and assist with budgeting and forecasting.

As a Financial Analyst , your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing monthly and quarterly expense reporting including analyzing financial results, synthesizing trends, and communicating key messages.
  • Developing and executing other key monthly and quarterly financial reports and process, including use of Alteryx, Tableau, and other reporting tools.
  • Preparing reconciliations and post accruals and other general ledger adjustments related to expenses.
  • Preparing quarterly GAAP and STAT reporting and commentary.
  • Understanding, extracting and transforming data from various key financial systems and tools such as Hyperion, Essbase, Concur, Business Objects, and Microsoft suite in order to assist in presenting strategic information to leadership.
  • Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process by working with the business to identify key inputs and providing analysis to evaluate trends.
  • Continuing to drive operational improvement and scalability by developing and evolving repeatable financial processes.
  • Assisting business with ad hoc financial analysis that supports decision making.

The Financial Analyst position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Demonstrate high proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or eight years of relevant experience as equivalent.
  • One year of related experience, preferably insurance experience.

What will set you apart:

  • CPA or CFA.
  • Tableau and/or Alteryx experience.
  • Knowledge of Hyperion, Essbase and other data housing and extraction tools.
  • Knowledge of GAAP/STAT accounting principles.
  • Willingness to work in Eastern or Central time zones.
