The Technology Enablement Consultant will serve as a Business Implementation Lead supporting strategic and operational technology initiatives within Global Oncology Medical Affairs (GOMA). This business-focused role sits at the intersection of business and IT, working with Digital Strategy & Innovation (DS&I) group technology enablement leads and stakeholders across GOMA.
The consultant will start by supporting ongoing technology initiatives under the guidance of DS&I leads and progressively grow into independently managing select initiatives. The role is instrumental in supporting the expansion of key digital programs-including but not limited to ongoing Medical Inquiry management platform rollouts (including GxP components), associated integrations with Veeva systems, Europe AI-supporting solutions, a global CRM rollout, and enhancements around Veeva systems supporting Scientific Engagement, change champion network operations for MA Clinical Operations worldwide platform.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Implementation & Project Leadership
• Partner with DS&I tech enablement leads, DX/IT and Medical Affairs business function leads to plan and execute technology initiatives across GOMA with a special focus on Global Medical Affairs Capabilities function.
• Lead or support business-side execution of digital projects, ensuring coordination with IT, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, risks, and interdependencies.
• Facilitate requirements gathering, business validation of deliverables, user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-live planning.
• Ensure solution delivery meets business needs through oversight of design, configuration, testing, migrations and release coordination.
• Translate business requirements into actionable inputs for technical teams and track delivery.
2. Collaboration on Change Enablement & Adoption Planning
• Partner with the dedicated Change Enablement Lead to co-develop training and adoption plans for each initiative supported.
• Align with business stakeholders to inform change readiness needs, including user personas, communications, and timing.
• Ensure coordination between enablement, training, and implementation activities to drive successful business onboarding.
• Collaborate with other Technology Enablement Leads to share best practices and ensure consistency in enablement planning across the portfolio.
3. Operational Support, Communication & Data Governance
• Create and maintain high-quality, executive-level presentations and dashboards (advanced PowerPoint skills required).
• Maintain detailed project records, including risk logs, decision trackers, stakeholder updates, and configuration documentation for initiatives supported.
• Support operational planning for smooth transition of solutions into steady-state support, including access management, documentation, and training materials in collaboration with DX/IT partners.
• Contribute to data governance and master data management efforts in close partnership with Medical Analytics function within DS&I and DX/IT Data governance teams.
• Participate in DS&I departmental operational activities, such as SharePoint content maintenance, documentation repository updates, process improvement initiatives, and general team enablement tasks.
Experience:
· 8–12 years of experience in project management, digital transformation, or technology implementation roles supporting or leading business-side activities in large-scale technology programs, preferably in pharma or healthcare strongly preferred.
· Proven track record supporting or leading business-side implementation of technology platforms, especially Medical Affairs solutions (e.g., CRM, Veeva KeyLink people, Veeva Medical), Digital website build oversight strongly preferred.
· Exposure to GxP-regulated environments (e.g., GCP) and SDLC or Agile methodologies.
· Experience with overseeing technology training materials build and training rollout plans.
· Demonstrated success driving change adoption and enabling cross-functional collaboration and experience working with multi-cultural worldwide stakeholders (Europe, Japan, Asia Pacific and US).
· Familiarity with data governance concepts and experience contributing to master data or metadata projects is a plus.
· Strong experience in executive communication and high-quality presentation development.
