Job Overview 

We are looking for a Grant Writer with a strong track record in researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals for nonprofits, businesses, or educational institutions. Specific proposals will include conservation protected land grants, Doctorate degree grants, minority-owned grants, women-owned grants, first time farmer grants, and other types of grants as requested. 

The ideal candidate will have experience crafting compelling proposals that effectively communicate our goals to potential funders. This contract position is perfect for a detail-oriented and deadline-driven professional who thrives in a flexible, project-based role. 

Responsibilities 

• Research and identify relevant grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies. 

• Write clear, structured, and persuasive grant proposals and supporting documents. 

• Develop compelling narratives that align with funding guidelines and organizational priorities. 

• Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for proposals. 

• Submit grant applications on time and track submission progress. 

• Maintain accurate records of grant applications, deadlines, and reporting requirements. 

• Assist in writing post-grant reports and ensuring compliance with grant terms. 

Qualifications 

• Proven experience in grant writing with a successful track record of securing funding. 

• Strong research skills to identify and evaluate grant opportunities. 

• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills. 

• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. 

• Knowledge of grant compliance and reporting requirements. 

• Experience working with nonprofits, educational institutions, or community organizations (preferred). 

• Familiarity with grant databases and submission portals is a plus.
