Job Description

Grace is hiring a Sales Manager to join our Specialty Catalyst Sales Team! This role will report to the Sr Sales Director and will be US-Gulf Coast based, preferably Houston remote, and will require about 40% domestic travel.


The Sales Manager has account responsibility for >$35M of revenue with direct accountability for meeting sales targets, forecasting and cultivating future sales, and managing the relationship with the customer. The scope is designed to focus on polyolefin catalyst sales to the chemical industry by the means of sales, contracts, forecasting supply/demand needs, and building and cultivating effective customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong commercial relationships across the functions and levels with the customer organization with the aim of optimizing both short term and long-term profitability and performance.
  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting of customer orders in order to ensure order to cash processes work efficiently and all customer orders are fulfilled.
  • Responsible for territory and account planning on short-term and longer-term basis.
  • Create, manage and maintain excellent relationships across all functions and levels with customers and with Grace in order to successfully sell solutions that require support & approval from multiple constituents in the respective organization.
  • Manage ongoing base business and growth opportunities at customers including negotiation of volume, pricing and supply commitments. Coordinate activities with functional groups including Marketing, Operations and Finance.
  • Manage pipeline of existing and new sales opportunities to deliver upon growth targets.
  • Negotiate complex agreements with customers against pre-agreed limits including but not limited to Confidentiality Agreements, Sales Contracts, Joint Development Agreements and R&D Agreements.
  • Accountable as key contact and focal point for customer activities and owner of customer communication and coordination plans. Ensure alignment of customer and Grace commercial activities.
  • Gulf Coast based with travel (~40%) outside of the immediate area will be required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related discipline (Chemical or Chemistry preferred).
• 6+ years of experience related to the chemical industry. This MUST include commercial sales/marketing and may also include technical experience.

  • Masters or PhD
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Technical experience with chemical catalysts and petrochemical reactor processes.
